As a Chief Security Officer and Technical Compliance Officer, Karen has implemented security and compliance programs in the Americas, China, India, and Europe for three companies with National Security Agreements (NSAs) with the Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S. (CFIUS). She has over 35 years of experience with global technology and telecommunications companies leading international compliance programs, improving the security and reliability of the U.S. communications infrastructure, developing wireless and optical communications systems, and managing semiconductor design teams. 

Karen is the former Chief Security Officer at Momentus Inc. where she was responsible for implementing and overseeing compliance with the company's NSA and cybersecurity programs. Before joining Momentus, she implemented an NSA for HCL Technologies as their Security Officer and Director of U.S. National Security Compliance. At Alcatel-Lucent, Karen led the implementation and technical oversight of Alcatel-Lucent’s worldwide U.S. national security compliance program as their NSA Technical Compliance Officer.

Karen earned a master’s degree in Engineering Physics from Cornell University and a bachelor’s degree in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
